Life Story Pattern
Patterns can be a useful tool for branding

In Detail
Client: Life Story | Role: Pattern Design
Life Story asked me to design a pattern for them that they could use as a part of their branding for their launch event invitation and pop up banner. As the agency was new, they needed imagery that could boldly represent their brand. They wanted something interesting, bright, and colourful that would grab industry professionals’ attention.
I started working with the shape of a fanned out book, as the company name is ‘Life Story’ I thought it would be appropriate. As I worked on it I started to make the shapes more and more abstract. I chose to fit the design to an isometric grid so the pattern colour be easily tilted and repeated as well as provide a visually balanced structure.
I drew the idea out both by hand (stencilling) and digitally. The digital version was chosen, developed, and placed on the invitations by Life Story (top picture).
