Independent Project | Role: Illustration & Design

Henry and Alyona came to me asking me to design their wedding invitation. I decided rather than repeating the usual flowery white washed wedding invitation, why not try something different that would fit them individually as a couple?

I came up with an illustration made from paper figures that I made by drawing and cutting out pieces of paper and laying them on top of each other, which I later coloured digitally. The illustration celebrates the multi cultural wedding and also takes a playful yet graphic approach that offered them something unique and personal.

Henry and Alyona were pleased to have a wedding invitation that represented them, and showed their personality. They recalled that they had a great reaction from their guests.
